Root One are proud to sponsor the Walled Gardens of Wallingford again this year!

On Sunday 9th June, many of the walled gardens in old Wallingford will be OPEN for one day.

Twelve gardens will open for your perusal, with three gardens opening for this first time this year. Whether you are an avid gardener or a curious neighbour, here’s your chance see behind the walls and visit a variety of private Wallingford gardens normally hidden from view.

Situated in old Wallingford, many of the properties are of historical or architectural interest and several have frontage to the River Thames with gorgeous views. See the lineup of gardens here

Make a day of it, leisurely enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of tea with cake while wondering the gardens or stroll along the river. Explore the stalls featuring strawberries and cream, plants, seeds and cut flowers. Mark Wood, a well known local artist will be holding a stall and don’t forget to visit the World of Mint display, where you can see, smell, and purchase a wide range of mints, there is also a craft table available for children to enjoy.  You can even take an electric boat trip!
