Plan Ahead for a Stunning Spring Garden

Although the days are still long and warm, now is the perfect time to start thinking about your spring garden! We’re excited to announce that our spring-flowering bulbs have just arrived in store, and there’s a fantastic selection to choose from.

Planting bulbs in autumn is one of the easiest and most rewarding ways to bring vibrant colour, fragrance, and life to your garden after the winter months.

Our new arrivals include:

Daffodils – A cheerful classic, great for borders, pots, and naturalising in lawns.

Tulips – Available in a rainbow of colours, perfect for creating striking displays in beds or containers.

Crocus – Among the earliest to bloom, crocus bring a splash of colour when little else is flowering.

Hyacinths – Known for their bold fragrance and dense blooms; ideal for pots, borders, and even indoor forcing.

Alliums – Add architectural interest and attract pollinators with their globe-like blooms.

We also have a mix of Grow Your Own gift sets, with a selection of bulbs that come with their very own planter.

When and How to Plant

Spring-flowering bulbs are planted in autumn, ideally between September and November, before the first hard frost. They need the cool temperatures of winter to develop and bloom properly in spring.

Top planting tips:

  • Choose a well-drained spot in full or partial sun.
  • Plant bulbs at a depth about 2–3 times their height.
  • Group in clusters for a more natural, fuller look.
  • Water well after planting to help them settle in.

Don’t forget many bulbs are also great for containers, making them perfect for patios, balconies, or small space gardening.

Our team is on hand to help you choose the best bulbs for your garden style and growing conditions, from classic daffodil drifts or a modern tulip border, we’ve got the inspiration—and the bulbs—to get you started!
