Chef/Cook/kitchen assistant

We are looking for a Chef/Cook to help within our busy and very popular Café.

Candidates must be able to work alternate weekends and be able to commit to at least two weekday shifts (approximately 7 hours per shift).

Your responsibilities will include the following:

Ensuring that the quality of food is prepared to the highest level, whilst ensuring that the service is timely and presentation is of the highest standards at all times.

Helping maintain a clean and hygienic workplace, meeting all kitchen standards both during and at the end of the day and completing all necessary paperwork.

Ideal candidate:

Will have experience within the catering and hospitality industry working with fresh food, preferably preparing hot and cold meals to order in a busy café/restaurant environment.

Have a great attention to detail and pride in your work.

Have a ‘Can do’ attitude and a great customer manner. We place a great emphasis on customer service throughout the Garden Centre and Cafe.
